Narrative
Butler Co Court - January Term 1856
On motion of Allen Coy who produced to the court credentials of his ordination and of his being in regular communion with the Christian Society called the United Baptists, and took the oath required by law, and together with David Elms his surety entered into a covenant to the commonwealth, conditioned not to violate the law of this state concerning marriage, and who also produced to the court satisfactory proof that he is a man of good moral character.
It is ordered that he be, and is hereby licensed to solemnize the rites of matrimony in this state between all persons regularly applying to him as required by law.
We the undersigned children & heirs of Benjamin Burden deceased, in consideration of one hundred and thirty dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and five dollars more to be paid by W R Beesley Admr of Benjamin Burden Decd to Delilah Coy & husband have this day bargainedand sold and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto William Burden our entire interest in all the lands belonging to Benjamin Burden Decd that has descended to us as children & heirs of said Burden decd. Said lands are all situated in Butler County, Ky on the waters of Indian Camp Creek the interest hereby conveyed is our interest in said lands. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging with covenants of general warranty this 7th day of October 1867.

Do certify that this deed from Delilah Coy and John Coy her husband & America J Dockery and Robt Dockery her husband Martha Daugherty and Z Burden to William Burden was on the 7th day of October 1867, before me in said county, acknowledged by said grantors to be their act and deed, and the same being stamped as required by the act of congress is with this certificate hereby recorded in my office. Witness my hand this 6th day of Decr 1867
